Both investment in the space sector made the Legado Usinagem receive, in 2018, the commendation IAE Friends (Institute of Aeronautics and Space). The honor is given to companies that provide relevant services to the Institute with the purpose of getting it to fulfill its mission, which is “to increase the knowledge and develop scientific-technological solutions to strengthen the Brazilian Aerospace Power …”. The award received placed the company among the largest and best suppliers in the country for the sector.
